APC Primaries: Adamawa Publicity Secretary Urges Calm, Assures Free, Fair Process
The Adamawa State Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Victor Dogo, has called on all aspirants seeking elective positions under the party’s platform to remain calm, assuring that necessary arrangements have been made for the smooth conduct of the party primaries scheduled for Saturday, May 16.
Dr. Dogo made the appeal while responding to complaints from some aspirants who expressed concerns that justice may not be done to them during the exercise. He reassured them of a free, fair, credible, and acceptable primary election to select the party’s flagbearers for the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
Addressing fears of possible imposition of candidates, the publicity secretary advised contestants to stop “pursuing shadows.”
“There is no plan to impose any candidate. The process will be transparent and all aspirants will be given a level playing field,” Dogo stated.

He further revealed that election materials for the primaries have been arriving in the state and are sufficient to cover the 226 wards ahead of tomorrow’s House of Representatives primaries.
Party faithful and aspirants have been urged to conduct themselves peacefully as the APC prepares to elect its standard-bearers for the next general election cycle.
