BREAKING: Adamawa Governor Suspends Post-Primary Schools Board Boss Over Alleged Irregularities

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has approved the immediate suspension of Mr. Birsan Penuel, Executive Secretary of the Adamawa State Post Primary Schools Management Board, citing alleged irregularities in his official duties.

According to a statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, the suspension is effective immediately to allow for a thorough investigation into the matter. The most senior Director at the Board has been directed to take over affairs in the interim to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Governor Fintiri reaffirmed his administration’s dedication to overhauling the education sector, highlighting achievements such as teacher recruitment, infrastructure rehabilitation, and regular salary payments over the past seven years.

“I will not look back in taking the necessary steps, no matter how tough, to protect the integrity of the system and ensure that our children receive the quality education they deserve,” Fintiri stated.

The government has warned all public officers to uphold due process, transparency, and accountability, vowing decisive action against any acts undermining educational progress.
