Fwa Declares for Adamawa South Senate Seat, Pledges People-Centered Leadership

Town Planner Prince Peter Fwa has formally declared his intention to contest for the Adamawa South senatorial seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In a well-attended declaration event in Yola, the former General Manager of the Adamawa State Urban Planning and Development Authority laid out his vision focused on inclusive governance, economic empowerment, and infrastructural sustainability.

Prince Fwa, a renowned estate developer with a reputation for uncompromising standards and quality, was widely commended during his tenure at the urban planning authority for initiating the construction of modern corner shops across the state. That effort, observers note, played a key role in the organized development of modern Adamawa, helping to streamline small-scale trade and improve local revenue generation.

Beyond his technical contributions to urban development, the town planner is also recognized for his behind-the-scenes roles in the evolution of Nigeria’s nascent democracy, a track record he says has prepared him for legislative responsibilities at the national level.

Addressing a crowd of supporters and party faithful, Prince Fwa emphasized that his decision to step forward is driven by a sense of collective duty, not personal ambition.

“I am not coming to shout or to make noise. I am coming to listen and to work for the people — especially our women and youth,” he said. “This is a collective journey. Our goal is to create and nourish opportunities that will lift every community in Adamawa South.”

In a notable departure from the typical political playbook, the APC aspirant also acknowledged the developmental strides of a political opponent. He thanked Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for what he described as a commendable leadership style in infrastructure development for the common good of the people, even as he prepares to challenge the ruling party’s influence in the zone.

On the internal politics of his party, Prince Fwa expressed confidence in the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, stating that he believes the party will ensure a free, fair, and transparent primary election ahead of the 2027 polls.

“The APC has what it takes to lead Nigeria fairly. I trust that our primaries will reflect the will of the people and produce the best candidate to carry our flag,” he added.

As the 2027 election cycle begins to take shape, Prince Peter Fwa’s entry sets the stage for what is expected to be a competitive race for the Adamawa South senatorial district.
