Galadima Launches Adamawa 2027 Campaign, Pledges Economic Overhaul

APC governorship candidate Tijjani Galadima has officially launched his 2027 electioneering campaign, promising to expand Adamawa State’s internally generated revenue through economic growth rather than increased taxation.
Unveiling his “Adamawa Rising Agenda” at a news conference, Galadima vowed to reduce the state’s dependence on federal allocations by transforming agriculture into industrial value chains and attracting investment in solid minerals.
“We will not tax poverty. We will grow prosperity,” Galadima declared, stressing that revenue expansion must come from creating an environment where farmers, entrepreneurs and businesses can thrive.
His blueprint includes establishing agro-industrial hubs across the three senatorial zones, with processing facilities, storage and logistics to capture greater value from rice, maize, cotton, cassava and livestock production.
Galadima also pledged to attract responsible investment in limestone, baryte, gemstones and other minerals while formalising artisanal mining.
The candidate promised transparent governance through a Governor’s Delivery Unit to monitor commitments and publish performance reports, adding that together Adamawa can be moved from potential to productivity, from productivity to prosperity, and from prosperity to dignity.
