Governor Fintiri Expresses Confidence in APC’s Victory in 2027 Election

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has expressed strong optimism that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Ahmed Tijjani Galadani Aminu, and other candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) will emerge victorious in the 2027 general elections.

The Governor stated this on Wednesday while speaking at an APC stakeholders’ meeting held at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Yola.

Critical stakeholders of the ruling All Progressives Congress from across Adamawa State converged at the venue for the meeting convened by the party’s state leadership to strategise ahead of the 2027 elections.

In his address, Governor Fintiri expressed unwavering confidence in the party’s victory, declaring that no amount of pressure, rigging, or threats can undermine the APC’s success in the forthcoming polls.

“The party has the calibre of members capable of defending its mandate against any challenge,” Fintiri stated.

The Governor disclosed that the Presidential Campaign Council has divided Adamawa State into eight zones as part of its mobilisation strategy.

He revealed that the campaign team would visit all 226 wards across the state to canvass support for APC candidates, while urging party members to intensify voter sensitisation and awareness campaigns.

Also speaking, former Governor of Adamawa State, Senator Muhammadu Jibrilla Bindow, commended Governor Fintiri for what he described as the giant strides recorded in the state under his leadership.

Bindow called on APC members to remain committed to the party’s victory in all parts of Adamawa State.

The APC governorship candidate, Ahmed Tijjani Galadani Aminu, stressed the need for unity within the party, saying there would be “no victor and no vanquished.”

Aminu pledged that if elected Governor in the 2027 general elections, his administration would consolidate on the achievements of the Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri-led administration.

The incumbent Senator representing Adamawa Northern Senatorial District, Rev. Amos Yohanna, the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, and Barrister Abubakar Tahir Shehu, also pledged their support for the APC, describing the meeting as timely and strategic.

Earlier in his welcome address, the Adamawa State APC Chairman, Hamza Alh Bello Madagali, said the meeting was necessary as it brought together, for the first time, all the party’s candidates to deliberate on issues concerning the progress of the party.

He urged members, particularly those who contested in the recent party primaries, to set aside their differences and work together for the unity and progress of the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The meeting marks a significant step in the party’s preparations for the upcoming electoral contest, with stakeholders expressing resolve to secure victory across all levels.
