Fintiri Promises Level Playing Field for APC Aspirants in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has assured that all aspirants of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State will be given a level playing field during the party’s primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Governor gave the assurance on Tuesday while receiving a gubernatorial aspirant, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House, Yola.

Salihu was accompanied by the Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bathiya Wesley, alongside other stakeholders and supporters.

Speaking during the visit, Governor Fintiri reiterated his commitment to ensuring that a grassroots politician succeeds him as Governor of Adamawa State in the 2027 general elections.

He stressed that no amount of pressure or intimidation would deter him from providing a fair and transparent process for all aspirants, except where they collectively agree to adopt a consensus arrangement.

The Governor further assured that his administration would remain focused on delivering critical infrastructure and developmental projects across the state until the last hour of his tenure.

Earlier, the gubernatorial aspirant, Comrade Mustapha Salihu, said the visit was to formally inform the Governor of his intention to contest for the office of Governor of Adamawa State, noting that he has already obtained his nomination and expression of interest forms.

He commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Fintiri for their leadership and support for the masses, and pledged that if he emerges as the APC flag bearer, he will work towards ensuring the party’s victory at all levels.
