US Navy Captures Defiant Iranian Cargo Ship TOUSKA
US forces intercepted the Iranian-flagged container ship TOUSKA, which had been under long-standing sanctions, in the Gulf of Oman after it attempted to breach the blockade. The USS Spruance issued warnings and subsequently disabled the vessel’s engine room when it failed to comply. Marines boarded the ship, took complete custody, and are currently examining the cargo to determine what Tehran was attempting to smuggle out.

“We have complete custody of the ship and are investigating what is on board,” Trump remarked.
This exemplifies maximum pressure in action. There will be no more tolerance for rogue regimes manipulating global shipping routes or financing terrorism while concealing their actions behind flags and justifications. The blockade remains robust, and any attempts to violate it result in American forces taking control.
Iran’s navy has already faced significant setbacks. Fast boats and proxies will not alter the realities at sea: the United States governs the chokepoint, enforces the regulations, and will not accept blackmail or evasion.
Decisive leadership is now translating words into action. Tehran has been warned—continue to provoke, and additional ships will come under US control alongside the TOUSKA.
