Tragedy Strikes Adamawa Community as Lightning Kills Six Children on Farm
A devastating tragedy has plunged the community of Dadiri Tirgali in Ganye Local Government Area of Adamawa State into deep mourning following the death of six children who were struck by thunder lightning while working on a farm.
The heartbreaking incident occurred on Sunday, July 19, 2026, during a heavy rainfall that swept through the area. According to eyewitnesses, lightning struck a group of eight children who were on the farm at the time of the downpour, killing six of them instantly.
Two other children survived the tragic strike but sustained injuries and were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where they are currently receiving emergency medical treatment.
The sudden loss of the young lives has thrown the entire community into profound grief, with families and residents expressing shock and devastation over the unfortunate event.

The bodies of the deceased have already been committed to mother earth, as the community continues to mourn the loss of the six children.
