PDP Governorship Candidate Challenges Rivals to Public Debate Ahead of 2027 Adamawa Election

The Governorship Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Adamawa State, Chief Maurice Vunobolki, PhD, FCA, has challenged governorship candidates and their running mates from other political parties to a public debate ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Vunobolki made the call during the official unveiling of the PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate and the Director-General of the party’s 2027 Governorship Campaign Council, describing the event as the beginning of a renewed political movement aimed at contesting for leadership in the state.

According to him, a public debate would provide an opportunity for candidates to present their programmes, policies, and vision for Adamawa State, enabling voters to make informed decisions ahead of the election.

“Let the contest be driven by ideas, competence, and a clear vision for the future of Adamawa State,” he said, while urging political actors to focus on issues that affect the development and wellbeing of the people.

The party also announced Adamu Hammantukur Ribadu, a prominent politician and traditional title holder, as the Director-General of the PDP 2027 Governorship Campaign Council.

Party leaders and supporters who attended the unveiling expressed optimism about the party’s preparations for the election, describing the appointments as strategic steps towards strengthening its campaign structure across the state.
