Governor Fintiri Congratulates Muslim Ummah on Eid Maulud, Urges Peace and Unity

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has congratulated the Muslim Ummah in Adamawa State, Nigeria and across the world on the occasion of Eid Maulud Nabiyy, commemorating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Humwashi Wonosikou, Governor Fintiri described the birth of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as a moment of mercy, guidance and divine light to humanity.
The Governor noted that the life and teachings of the Prophet remain a timeless model of peace, compassion, tolerance, honesty, humility and selfless service to humanity.
Governor Fintiri urged the people of Adamawa State to use the occasion to reflect on and emulate the virtues exemplified by the Prophet, particularly sacrifice, forgiveness, love for one another, justice and fairness.
“As we celebrate Maulud, I urge all citizens of Adamawa State to reflect on the virtues that the Prophet stood for. Let us emulate his life of sacrifice, forgiveness, love for one another, and dedication to justice and fairness. These are the values that bind us together as one people and one nation,” the Governor said.
He also called on Muslims and other residents of the state to use the celebration to pray for peace, unity and prosperity in Adamawa State and Nigeria as a whole, particularly as political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections begin to intensify.
According to him, his administration remains committed to providing responsible leadership that guarantees the security and welfare of the people, while urging citizens to support government policies and shun acts capable of undermining the peace.
“Government is committed to providing leadership that guarantees security and welfare. I therefore urge citizens to support government policies and to shun acts capable of breaching the peace. Let us live together in harmony irrespective of our faith or background,” Governor Fintiri added.
The Governor wished the Muslim faithful a peaceful and spiritually rewarding Maulud celebration, praying that the blessings of the occasion would bring renewed hope, progress and development to Adamawa State and Nigeria.
