Fintiri: No Contractor Owed by Adamawa Government

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has declared that no contractor handling government projects in the state is owed any outstanding payments, warning that delays in project execution will not be tolerated.

Speaking during an inspection tour of the ongoing construction of the Adamawa State Ultra-Modern Stadium and the new NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, the Governor said his administration has consistently met its financial obligations to contractors to ensure uninterrupted project delivery.

“Prompt payment was intended to ensure timely completion,” Fintiri stated, warning contractors against failing to meet agreed deadlines, particularly for projects scheduled for completion by end of September.

The Governor expressed satisfaction with work quality at both sites but urged contractors to maintain high construction standards while adhering strictly to project specifications.

Fintiri described infrastructure development as a major pillar of his administration’s agenda, emphasizing that completed projects would boost sports development, nurture young talent, and provide improved facilities for corps members.

He reaffirmed his commitment to transparency and prudent management of public resources, stating he is determined to leave a legacy of durable infrastructure for future generations.

The Governor was accompanied by Deputy Governor Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, Chief of Staff Dr. Edgar Amos Sunday, SSG Barrister Auwal Tukur, and other senior officials.
