Construction Begins On 31-Km Road Network In Kofare As Fintiri Tackles Infrastructural Deficits

In line with the commitment of the Adamawa State Government under the administration of His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, to address infrastructural deficits across the state, construction work has commenced on the recently approved 31-kilometre road network project in Kofare.

Preliminary construction activities are currently underway, including site clearance, removal of topsoil, and the fabrication and placement of iron reinforcements for the construction of line drains. These initial steps signal the government’s determination to deliver durable, all-season roads that will enhance connectivity and boost economic activity in the Kofare community and its environs.

The Adamawa State Ministry of Works, under the able leadership of the Commissioner for Works, Hon. Engr. Mohammed Suleiman (FNICE, FNSE), remains committed to ensuring strict compliance with approved specifications and engineering standards through continuous supervision and monitoring of the project. The Ministry has assured residents that contractors will adhere to project timelines and quality benchmarks.

Governor Fintiri has repeatedly emphasised that improved road infrastructure is critical to unlocking rural potential and improving the quality of life for citizens. The Kofare road network is expected to ease transportation, reduce travel time, and facilitate access to markets, healthcare, and educational facilities upon completion.

Community leaders have welcomed the project, praising the administration for keeping its promise to extend development to previously underserved areas. Work is progressing according to schedule, with residents urged to cooperate with contractors and report any concerns to the Ministry of Works.
