Tehran Issues Warning of Imminent Retaliation Following US Seizure of Iranian Vessel.

An Iranian military representative has stated that a reaction to a recent US military operation against an Iranian ship is unavoidable, but it will be postponed until the safety of those aboard is guaranteed.

The spokesperson for the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters, which is Iran’s joint military command responsible for coordinating between various branches of the armed forces, indicated that Tehran is currently functioning under what he termed as “operational constraints” in deciding the timing of its response.

The official mentioned that the situation necessitates meticulous planning and cautioned that Iran’s response to the incident involving the Iranian vessel is assured, albeit not immediate.

A key aspect of the statement was the condition of the ship and its crew.

The spokesperson noted that the delay in retaliation is associated with the presence of the vessel’s crew and their families, emphasizing that their safety must be prioritized before any military action is executed.

“We will respond to the American assault on the Iranian ship after ensuring the safety of the ship’s crew and their families,” the official remarked.
