Bandits Assault Kwara Community, Resulting in the Death of Soldiers and Others

This violent incident, which also resulted in the deaths of several soldiers in Kwara Community, took place around 3 am, according to security sources who verified the situation to the media on Monday.

Reports indicate that security personnel, including the Nigerian Army and local vigilantes, engaged the bandits in a fierce gunfight that continued until 5 am.

Media reports suggest that a small number of soldiers lost their lives during the assault, although the complete extent of the damage inflicted by the attack remains unclear at the time of this report.

It is worth noting that armed bandits had recently invaded the Woro and Nuku communities within the Kaiama Local Government Area, resulting in numerous deaths, the destruction of homes, and the abduction of over 100 residents who are still unaccounted for.

In a separate incident, suspected bandits reportedly attacked Ora Ayegbaju in the Obbo-Ile area of Ekiti local government on Sunday.

During this attack, three brothers sustained serious injuries at approximately 22:00 hours, while others managed to escape to safety.

The injured individuals have been identified as AbdulJareem Adamu, AbdulJareem Yunusa, and AbdulJareem Yusuf.

Currently, the three injured brothers are receiving medical care at a hospital in Osi town.

As of Monday, authorities had not yet provided a response to these two incidents.
