Binani Campaign Council Rebukes TGNews Over Senator Binani’s Political Rating

The campaign council of Distinguished Senator Aishatu Ahmed Binani has issued a strong rebuttal to an online publication, TGNews, dismissing its recent analysis of the Adamawa State governorship race as “political rantings” and “vindictive idle talk.”
In a statement released to the press by the Director General Media and Information, Mathias Yohanna, the council expressed dismay over a TGNews article that allegedly described Senator Binani as having transitioned from the APC’s “Iron Lady” to a “mere NDC Lady,” a phrase the council interprets as a euphemism for falling from grace.
The campaign organization acknowledged the publication’s admission of Senator Binani’s political history, describing her as a “shining star” who faced a “shameless national conspiracy” during the previous governorship race.
While appreciating the recognition of her political sagacity, the council condemned the suggestion that the Senator is “politically fading out,” describing such assertions as a collapse into “degenerative thinking.”
The statement emphasized that changing political parties does not diminish a candidate’s image or capacity to lead. The council warned against the media being recruited as tools to “short change and disenfranchise the Adamawa electorate,” urging journalists to maintain independence rather than devolving into tribal and religious warlords.
Citing the political history of former U.S. President Abraham Lincoln, who contested elections multiple times, the council argued that temporary political dynamics do not define a leader’s ultimate success. The campaign maintained that if experience and knowledge of Adamawa’s political landscape are the metrics, Senator Binani remains a formidable contender with a “wonderful chance” to emerge as Governor.
The statement concluded by calling on the public to dismiss TGNews’s analysis in its entirety, suggesting that such critiques are the result of “political engineering” deficiencies and a “smokescreen of delusion.”
