Armed Robbery at Adamawa State Polytechnic, Numan Campus

In the early hours of Thursday, men suspected to be armed robbers invaded the female hostel, armed with guns, knives, and cutlasses. They forced students to hand over mobile phones and valuables, beating those who resisted or tried to hide their devices.

Several female students sustained injuries; one reportedly fainted from trauma.
Over 15 phones, power banks, and other valuables were stolen.

Students have expressed outrage, accusing the school authorities of negligence and poor security.

This comes barely a week after students raised concerns about poor hostel conditions.

The institution’s Information Officer, Albert Matila, confirmed the incident, stating the Rector and management would visit the campus today 28th May, 2026
