Adamawa SUBEB Strengthens Commitment to Digital Education at National Policy Engagements

The Adamawa State Universal Basic Education Board (ADSUBEB) has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital learning and data-driven education planning following its participation in key national education engagements organised by the Federal Ministry of Education and the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC).

Leading the state’s delegation was the Executive Chairman of ADSUBEB, Dr. Murtala Umar Babayi, who took part in the maiden Policy and Technical Roundtable of the National EdTech Committee (NEC). His participation comes after his recent appointment as a member of the committee.

The national engagements also featured the unveiling of the Digitalised National Education Management Information System (DNEMIS) and the inauguration of State DNEMIS Coordination Teams, initiatives designed to modernise education data management and strengthen evidence-based decision-making across Nigeria.

The programmes brought together policymakers, education administrators, and development partners to discuss strategies for integrating technology into teaching and learning, improving data collection and utilisation, and enhancing collaboration between federal and state education institutions.

Speaking at the event, Dr. Babayi said ADSUBEB remains committed to supporting the Federal Government’s drive toward digital transformation in the education sector. He noted that the Board will continue to utilise technology and reliable education data to improve planning, service delivery, and learning outcomes for pupils across Adamawa State.

He further stated that the Board is focused on implementing innovative reforms and working closely with relevant stakeholders to expand access to quality basic education throughout the state.

According to him, ADSUBEB’s participation in the national engagements reflects the education transformation agenda of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, whose administration continues to prioritise innovation, transparency, and strategic partnerships as key pillars for strengthening the basic education sector.
