Dr. Sulaiman Saidu Bashir, the Executive Chairman of the Adamawa State Primary Health Care Development Agency, has successfully overseen the installation of 100 standard solar-powered streetlights across several key communities in Michika Local Government Area, in a landmark intervention aimed at bolstering community safety and fostering economic growth.

The project illuminates Tsukumu/Tillijo, Bazza Marghi, Jigalambu, and various other parts of the LGA, marking a significant upgrade to the region’s infrastructure. The primary objective of the initiative is to enhance security and improve overall safety for residents who have long contended with the dual threats of nocturnal criminal activity and dangerous wildlife.

With the new lighting system, communities are now better protected against night thieves, while the risks posed by dangerous animals after dark have been substantially mitigated.

The solar lights have been strategically installed to maximize public benefit, illuminating critical locations including:

· Places of worship (Churches and Mosques)
· Commercial hubs (Market squares)
· Essential utilities (Water supply systems and public taps)
· Social venues (Relaxation centers)
· Major roads traversing Bazza and the wider Michika LGA.
