Promised Kept as Hajiya Lami Fintiri Donates Mattresses, Food Items to Special Education Centre, Jada

Wife of the Adamawa state Governor, Hajiya Dr. Lami Ahmadu Fintiri, has fulfilled her earlier promise to the Special Education Centre, Jada, with the donation of items to improve the welfare of students living with special needs.

The promise was made during her visit to the school on 3rd June 2025, when the management and students appealed for mattresses to enhance their comfort.

 In fulfillment of that commitment, the items were recently delivered through her pet project, the Fresh Air Pro-Life Empowerment Foundation.

The donated items included mattresses, bags of rice, bags of beans, and blankets, aimed at improving the living conditions and general wellbeing of the students.

Presenting the items on behalf of Her Excellency, Mr. Ishaya Bitrus, SSA Media to the wife of the Governor explained that although she had intended to make the presentation personally, official engagements made it impossible.

He reaffirmed her unwavering love for the children and her resolve to always support the school.

Principals of the Senior, Junior, and Primary sections of the centre—Mr. Godwin Ularamu, Mr. John S. Bobboi, and Mallam Aliyu Usman—expressed deep appreciation for the gesture, describing it as rare and commendable.

They noted that while many leaders make promises without fulfilling them, Her Excellency’s action had renewed their hope and confidence.

“We never imagined this promise would truly be fulfilled. Today, our hearts are full of gratitude and joy,” the principals said.

Further appreciation came from members of the school community, including a corps member, Adamu Vivian, the school’s Head Boy, Abubakar Aminu, and a visually impaired student, Mr. Sober Tumba, who described Hajiya Lami Fintiri as “a true mother” with genuine concern for orphans and vulnerable children.

The event concluded with special prayers offered for Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri and his administration, praying for divine guidance and strength as he continues to steer the affairs of the state.

The gesture has been widely praised as a clear demonstration of integrity and compassion, reaffirming that a promise made by Hajiya Dr. Lami Ahmadu Fintiri is indeed a promise kept.
