JUST IN: The former EFCC Boss, Ibrahim Lamorde is dead

Lamorde hails from Mubi LGA of Adamawa State who was appointed Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on 23 November 2011 after chairman Farida Waziri had been dismissed by President Goodluck Jonathan. He was confirmed as Chairman by the Senate on 15 February 2012. A position he held until 9th November 2015.

Mr Lamorde died in Egypt where he had travelled for medical treatment, a close associate told PREMIUM TIMES Sunday morning.
