President Tinubu Hails Ex-SGF Boss Mustapha As Symbol Of Unity, Inspiration To Young Leaders

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extolled the virtues of former Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Barrister Boss Mustapha, describing him as a towering symbol of unity in public service whose exemplary leadership continues to inspire younger generations of Nigerians to become good leaders.
The President spoke on Sunday 5th September, 2026 at Saint Monica LCCN Cathedral, Jimeta-Yola, during a special thanksgiving service marking the 70th birthday of the former SGF, in a celebration that drew political heavyweights, traditional rulers, and religious leaders from across the country.

Represented by the current Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume, President Tinubu lauded Mustapha’s enduring contributions to nation-building, emphasizing that Nigeria desperately requires more men and women with such lasting legacies of service to God and humanity.
“Barrister Boss Mustapha stands as a colossus whose footprints in the sands of public service will remain indelible for generations. His life exemplifies the virtues of dedication, integrity, and selfless service that we must all emulate,” the President’s message read.
The President further noted that Mustapha’s leadership journey serves as a compass guiding young Nigerians toward responsible citizenship and effective governance, urging the celebrant to continue being a beacon of hope and inspiration.
