Fatal Motor Accident Claims Six Lives on Girei Road, Adamawa State

The Adamawa State Police Command has confirmed a fatal motor accident that occurred earlier today 4th September, 2026 along Girei Road, resulting in the deaths of six individuals.

In an official statement released to the press, the Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent of Police Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, detailed that the tragic incident took place on the morning of September 4, 2026.

According to the preliminary report, the crash involved multiple vehicles, leading to the immediate deaths of six persons. The victims were rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention, where they were subsequently confirmed dead by attending physicians.

Upon receiving the distress call, police operatives from the Girei Divisional Headquarters, Federal Housing, and the Central Motor Traffic Division were swiftly mobilized to the scene. The officers conducted rescue operations, evacuated the bodies of the deceased, and worked to restore the normal flow of traffic, which had been disrupted due to the accident.

Expressing his grief over the incident, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kabir Umar Hassan, extended his heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. He prayed for the repose of their souls and urged the public to remain calm during this difficult time.

While appealing for calm, the Command issued a stern warning to motorists, emphasizing the need for caution on the roads. CP Hassan urged drivers to strictly obey traffic rules and avoid over speeding in order to prevent further loss of lives.
