During the operation, two victims—one male and one female—were rescued from the suspect’s residence.

ASP Eno Ikoedem, the Public Relations Officer of the Command, disclosed to newsmen that the suspect was apprehended for alleged sexual exploitation and the production and distribution of explicit content involving multiple individuals.

According to ASP Ikoedem, the suspect reportedly lured female victims to his residence in Iyekogba Estate, Oredo Local Government Area, under the pretense of arranged meetings. During these meetings, the victims were exploited, and videos were allegedly recorded without their consent. The suspect is also accused of sexually assaulting male victims.

The arrest followed a distress call from residents who reported suspicious activities and loud noises coming from the apartment, prompting a raid by police operatives.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect collaborated with other individuals involved in recording and disseminating explicit materials for financial gain.

“During the operation, the victims were rescued, and the suspect was arrested. Exhibits were recovered from the scene,” ASP Ikoedem said.

The suspect has since been charged in court. The Edo State Police Command advised youths to engage in lawful and productive activities.
