Borno Launched Digital Land Allocation System
The Borno state government has launched a digital land allocation system to curb delay and corruption in land acquisition process for residents in the state.
The Borno State Geographic Information Service (BOGIS made the announcement during a press conference in Maiduguri.
It explained that the new automated system makes it easier for land interested persons can acquire plots without following the analogue process.
The Executive Secretary of the Borno State Geographic Information Service Adam Bababe said the designed digital portal marks fulfilment of Governor Zulum‘s 25 years development plan to urbanize and develop the state capital by opening up thousands of plots for housing, business, and recreation in communities like Njimtilo, Chabal, Tungushe, Lake Chad Research Institute, Dalori, among others.
He noted that the automation is a move toward transparency, end corruption and bureaucracy in the land administration.
