NSCDC Traces Bank Account In Adamawa
A 28 years old Bless Johnson has been arrested by the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Adamawa State Command for impersonation and obtaining money under false pretences.
The Public Relations Officer, NSCDC Adamawa State Command, DSC Nyako Amidu Baba in a statement said the suspect was reported to the NSCDC Divisional Office in Mubi, prompting an immediate response from the Corps.
“Acting on credible intelligence and coordinated efforts, officers tracked and arrested Johnson on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, in Timbokum village, Ganye Local Government Area.
“Initial investigations indicate that the suspect defrauded at least nine individuals, extracting several million naira by falsely promising political appointments, job placements, and assistance with international travel. Records show that a total amount of N9,085,000.00 was deposited into his account by victims. During the investigation, Johnson refunded N1,120,000.00 to some victims.
“The suspect executed his scheme by obtaining contacts of prominent state personalities and luring victims with attractive but fraudulent offers,” the statement said.
Meanwhile, Adamawa State Commandant of the NSCDC, Commandant I.D. Bande has ordered full investigations to determine the extent of Johnson’s activities and other accomplices involved.
Commandant Bande while assuring the public that the suspect will be prosecuted in accordance with the law upon completion of investigation, urged them to remain vigilant and cautious, highlighting the need to report fraudulent activities promptly to the nearest law enforcement agency to ensure swift action.
The NSCDC reaffirms its dedication to protecting lives, property, and public confidence by bringing perpetrators of fraud and crime to justice.
