The Northern Governors Wives Forum, in collaboration with the Office of the Governorโs Wife of Adamawa State and her foundation, the Fresh Air Pro-Life Empowerment Foundation, commemorated World Humanitarian Day with elderly people in Mubi North and South Local Government Areas.
Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri distributed food items to 200 elderly people in Mubi North and Mubi South Local Government Areas on Mondayย in Gella Ward.
Hajiya Lami Fintiri emphasized that providing food to the elderly on Humanitarian Day is more than just a charitable act; it represents common humanity and kindness.By caring for those who have built the foundation for future generations, โwe honor their contributions and strengthen the bonds that unite our communities.โ
She urged everyone to reflect on the significance of Humanitarian Day by recalling the great and powerful impact of kindness and generosity.

It is an opportunity to bridge the generational gap, fostering a sense of belonging and appreciation for the wisdom that comes with age. In their remarks, the Chairmen of Mubi North and Mubi South, Hon. Musa Hassan and Hon. Hamidu Adamu Jingi, expressed their gratitude to Her Excellency Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Fintiri for her unwavering generosity and compassion for the elderly in their communities.
They also expressed their gratitude to Hajiya Lami for supporting her husband, Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, in his mission to restore the glory of Adamawa State.
They noted that this initiative is timely, especially during a period when the nation is facing economic challenges, making it difficult for many households to afford three square meals a day.
On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Naomi Thomas and Mallam Shuaibu Buba extended their heartfelt appreciation to Hajiya Lami Fintiri for her timely intervention, emphasizing that only God can truly reward her for the continuous support she has provided to the people of Adamawa State.
Mrs. Naomi Thomas and Mallam Shuaibu Buba stated that without the support of her husband, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, they would not be here to benefit from her laudable gestures. They also affirmed their commitment to continue rallying around and praying for him.
As they commemorate World Humanitarian Day 2024, Hajiya Lami Fintiri urged everyone to stand united under the powerful theme โAct For Humanity.โ She emphasized that this day is not only a time for remembrance but also a call to actionโa call for each of us to rise to the occasion and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those who need it most.
Items distributed included 25 kg of rice, a carton of spaghetti, 10 kg of maize, 10 kg of beans, and other essentials.
