Bishop Oyedepo Condemns Kaduna Killings, Declares Judgment on Sponsors of Violence

The Founder of Living Faith Church Worldwide, Bishop David Oyedepo, has strongly condemned the recent wave of killings in Nigeria, declaring that he would pray against those responsible rather than offer prayers on their behalf.

Speaking during a church service after the July 27, 2026 attack in Kaduna, where gunmen reportedly killed at least 30 people, including women and children, the cleric denounced the perpetrators as “destructive agents” and warned that divine judgment awaited them.

“Woe to all destructive agents in Nigeria. Whether in power or out of power, judgment has finally come,” Oyedepo said.

Rejecting suggestions that he should pray for the attackers, the bishop stated that such violence could not be overlooked.

“You can’t slaughter members of my family and expect me to pray for you. I pray against you, against your household, against your generation, in the name of Jesus,” he declared.

Oyedepo also alleged that those behind the attacks were receiving financial backing, although he did not provide evidence to support the claim.

“Everybody knows that these wicked people are being sponsored. Anyone who doesn’t know that, that’s a problem,” he said.

He went on to pronounce a curse on anyone allegedly funding the violence.

“Every sponsor of killers in Nigeria, you come under a curse today,” he declared.

The bishop also criticized what he described as the government’s response to the recurring attacks, expressing concern over the continued loss of lives and questioning the absence of a strong official condemnation of the latest incident.

“You mean they kill people every day and government is pretending not to know what to do?” he asked.

He added, “I have not heard any statement from government quarters against the killings. I’m here to hear one, sir. Our human life is not of value anymore?”

Expressing confidence that justice would prevail, Oyedepo said he had remained silent for a long time but believed the time for divine intervention had come.

“When you see God keep quiet at the wickedness of the wicked, it’s because the bubble is about to burst,” he said.

“I have long held my peace… but now I will rise, like a wounded lion, and I will devour at once.”

Reaffirming his message, the bishop concluded, “As the Lord lives, this bubble will burst. Go and hide anywhere. The bubble will burst.”
