PAWECA Suspends Data Capture for Sallah, Announces Post-Holiday Resumption

The Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) has temporarily suspended its ongoing data capture exercise for the Fintiri Business Wallet Programme in observance of the Sallah celebrations.
The suspension takes effect from Monday, May 25, 2026.
In a statement issued by the Director General of the agency, Dr. Michael Zira, the break was described as necessary to allow both staff and beneficiaries participate fully in the festive period.
Dr. Zira assured all eligible beneficiaries with valid forms that the exercise would resume immediately after the holiday, stressing that no qualified applicant would be left out of the programme.
He urged beneficiaries and members of the public to remain calm, noting that adequate arrangements have been made to ensure every eligible participant is captured successfully without losing their opportunity to benefit from the initiative.
The agency also advised applicants to keep their forms safe and await official communication regarding the new date for continuation of the exercise.
