PEACE BUILDING: UN Group Decorates Prof. Farauta as Champion of SDGs and Global Diplomat

Professor Kaletapwa Farauta the Adamawa State Deputy Governor has reiterated her commitment to peace-building a panacea for growth and development.

The deputy governor was speaking shortly after her investiture as “champion of implementation of United Nations sustainable development goals and global diplomat” by the International Association of World Peace Advocates.

Tagged “International peace advocate; promoters of peace, security and development”, deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta thanked the association for the honour.

She said such an honour would spur her to do more for the general good of society.

Professor Farauta emphasized that development can never take place in a chaotic environment, expressing her continuous determination and commitment to peacemaking

Earlier, the leader of the delegation, Ambassador Dr. Jerry Abiri, explained that the International Association of World Peace Advocates is a promoter of peace, security and development.

He said the honour is necessary if given the deputy governor’s enormous contribution and achievements in all spheres of life, especially peacebuilding education, community development, security, and mentoring younger ones, among others, urging her to sustain the spirit.

Chartered fellowship award as “Eminent peace ambassador” and champion of implementation of United Nations sustainable development goals was bestowed on the deputy governor professor Kaletapwa Farauta by the International Association of World Peace Advocates and United Nations volunteers.

The association is a world-class organization with United Nations ECOSOC special consultative status since 2019.
