Multichoice Nigeria, the operator behind DStv and GOtv, has informed its customers of a forthcoming price increase across its subscription plans. The new pricing structure will take effect on March 1, 2025, as announced in a customer notice issued on Monday.

The company explained that the decision to adjust prices is necessary to maintain its high standard of service and content delivery, both locally and internationally.

Here’s a breakdown of the revised DStv subscription fees:

• The DStv Compact package will see an increase from N15,700 to N19,000, a 25% rise.
• The Compact Plus plan will go up from N25,000 to N30,000, marking a 20% hike.
• The DStv Premium package, the highest tier, will jump from N37,000 to N44,500, also a 20% increase.

In a statement titled “Price Adjustments for DStv and GOtv Packages”, Multichoice noted that the adjustment is part of ongoing efforts to ensure customers continue to enjoy top-tier entertainment through the latest technology and world-class content.

New GOtv Pricing:

• The GOtv Jinja plan will increase from N3,600 to N3,900.
• The GOtv Jolli package will rise from N4,850 to N5,800.
• The GOtv Max subscription will now cost N8,500, up from N7,200.
• The GOtv Supa package will increase from N9,600 to N11,400.
• Lastly, the GOtv Supa Plus plan will jump from N15,700 to N16,800.

This price adjustment follows a similar hike implemented in May of the previous year, which was attributed to inflation and the rising operational costs in Nigeria. Multichoice cited factors like currency depreciation and inflation as major contributors to the increased cost of running its business.
