JUST IN: Adamawa State Polytechnic Students Lock School Gates in Protest Over Water, Power Outage

 The students of the Adamawa State Polytechnic Yola (popularly known as SPY) have locked all the school gates, effectively preventing entry and exit from the institution.

The protest, according to eyewitnesses, was triggered by the persistent lack of electricity and water supply within the campus. Students claim they have been enduring these hardships for over a week without any intervention from the management or authorities

While calling on government to come to their aid, the students are demanding the restoration of power and water supply to their school.

The students insist that until their demands are met, no academic or administrative activities will continue in the school.

As at the time of filing this report, security operatives were seen monitoring the situation from a distance, while school officials were reportedly locked outside the gates alongside visitors and staff.

The school management is yet to release an official statement on the situation.
