INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY: Hajiya Lami Extends Her Heartfelt Greetings to All Women
The wife of the Adamawa state Governor Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, has extended her heartfelt greetings to all women on the occasion of Nigeria’s Independence Day in the state.
In a statement released by her press secretary, Mrs. Clara Mustapha, in Yola, the First Lady acknowledged the tireless efforts of women in various spheres of society, including in homes, markets, farms, and offices, which serve as the backbone of our communities.
The statement also highlighted the important roles played by women entrepreneurs in driving economic growth, female educators in empowering future generations, healthcare workers in providing compassionate care, and women in governance in advocating for inclusive policies.
Recognizing the challenges faced by women, such as gender-based violence, limited access to education and healthcare, and societal inequalities, the First Lady reiterated her commitment to supporting girls’ education initiatives, advocating for women’s economic empowerment programs, and collaborating with stakeholders to address gender-based violence.
The statement called for continued support and upliftment of one another for a brighter future.
