Hong Local Government Mourns Departure of Major General

Major General Garba Hong (Rtd) who hailed from Hong Local Government area of Adamawa State has died on Wednesday at Cedar Crest Hospital Abuja after a brief illness.

A statement by SA Zakari fdc, said late Garba held several appointments including Brigade Commander, General Staff, Defense Attache in Brazil and the highest appointment in the Artillery (Commander Corps of Artillery) as well as Military Secretary (Army).

According to the statement, Garba was a member of 32nd Cse, CSC 23 and NIPSS.
A retired Gallant General Garba was a jovial yet very religious Muslim and fulfilled farmer is survived by his aged mother, wife Hajiya Zainab, a sister and brothers.

The remains of late General Hong has been buried yesterday Thursday 08th February 2024 at Gudu Cemetery Abuja. May his soul rest peacefully.
