Hon Kallamu marks 100 days in office at ADHA, highlights achievements, future plans

Hon. Musa Mahmud Kallamu, the representative for Mayo Belwa constituency in the Adamawa State House of Assembly, has celebrated his first 100 days in office.

While marking this milestone, Hon. Kallamu highlighted various achievements and shared his vision for the future of his constituency.

In an exclusive interview at his residence in Mayo Belwa LGA, Hon. Kallamu discussed his developmental plans for the area.

Upon assuming office, Hon. Kallamu organized a town hall meeting with constituents from different political wards to gather insights on their immediate needs and how to address them.

He explained that the event aimed to facilitate direct engagement with his constituents, promoting a deeper understanding of their pressing issues.

During this period, Hon. Kallamu appointed over 20 Special Assistants on electronic and new media to keep his constituents informed about his activities and representation.

He formed a committee on borehole maintenance, successfully repairing over 30 boreholes to combat water scarcity and improve the quality of life for many residents.

In his fight against hunger and poverty, the lawmaker distributed over 600 bags of rice to needy families, providing much-needed relief to struggling households.

For women empowerment, Hon. Kallamu mentioned that his wife, Hajiya Sa’adatu Musa Mahmud Kallamu, empowered over 200 women with cash.

He also outlined plans to boost agricultural productivity by providing farming implements to local farmers, which is expected to enhance food security and support the livelihoods of those dependent on agriculture.

Hon. Kallamu took the opportunity to thank Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri for his unwavering support to the legislature and his significant contributions to Adamawa State’s transformation.

He also acknowledged the cooperative working relationship with his colleagues in the state assembly, which he believes is essential for the collective progress of the state.
