Lawyer Ask Court To Order Police To Produce Rogue Adamawa REC Hudu-Ari Or His Surety

Suspended Adamawa REC – Barr. HUDU Ari Yunusa fails to appear in Federal High court Yola as scheduled today 6th November 2023. INEC lawyer accuses HUDU of evading arraignment and prosecution.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has filed a six-count charge against the suspended Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) deployed to Adamawa State, Barr. Hudu Yunusa Ari, at the Adamawa State High Court sitting in Yola, the State capital.

Ari was enmeshed in a controversy after the supplementary governorship election in the State on April 15, 2023, when he unilaterally declared Aisha ‘Binani’ Dahiru, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the poll while collation of results was still ongoing.

INEC lawyer is asking the Judge to order Police to produce HUDU in court on the 23rd November, 2023 and in the absence of HUDU, his surety should be prouduced in court.
