BREAKING -Tribunal Sacks Kano Governor, Declares APC Winner

The Governorship Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Kano has declared Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, APC, winner of the Kano governorship election.

The tribunal arrived at the final judgement after cancelling some votes scored by the New Nigeria People’s Party’s candidate and incumbent governor of Kano, Abba Kabir Yusuf.

Justice Oluyemi Akintan Osadabey, the presiding judge, said margin of votes scored by the NNPP was not enough to give, Yusuf Victory.

The presiding judge said some of the votes recorded by the NNPP candidate were invalid.
