Nigeria@64: Gov. Fintiri Salutes Security Agencies

Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has commend security agencies for their tireless efforts in maintaining peace and order in the state.

The Governor gave the commendation in his message on the occasion of 64th independence anniversary of Nigeria’s nationhood.
He added that his administration’s peace initiatives are aimed at promoting harmony and understanding among citizens. He urged the people not to compromise the hard earned peace.
On the current hardship in the land, Governor Fintiri said, “I see hope in Nigeria’s future. Let’s work together to provide good governance and democracy dividends.”
Governor Fintiri said “the new thinking of the Government serves as a reminder of the country’s potential for growth and progress. “Let us unite in supporting the government’s initiatives and work together towards a brighter future.”
The Governor in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou notes that despite these hurdles, Nigeria has made significant progress, particularly since its return to democracy 24 years ago.
Fintiri emphasizes the need for self-reflection and collective responsibility to address the country’s weaknesses. He stresses that success can only be achieved by accepting responsibility for actions and rejecting the victim mentality.
“Some of these weaknesses are within our means to correct, but we will only succeed if we are brave and honest enough to accept responsibility for our actions and reject the convenient attitude of playing the victim and blaming others.”
Fintiri reassures that his administration is committed to leaving no one behind and ensuring that every Adamawa citizen benefits from these efforts.
“I commend you all for reaching this milestone, surviving pitfalls, and regaining dignity through democracy. Though 64 years is brief for a nation, we’ve had time to make significant changes.
