The Adamawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on party supporters and citizens to boycott the proposed nationwide protest against the President Tinubu administration, citing numerous achievements to celebrate. This announcement was made on Tuesday during an emergency meeting at the APC state secretariat in Yola.

Camaa Tv reports that while addressing attendees, APC Adamawa State Chairman, Barrister Idris Shuaibu, urged party loyalists and the public to avoid the protest. Barrister Idris highlighted significant accomplishments under President Tinubu’s administration, which he believes warrant celebration rather than protest.

“We have the need to celebrate the giant strides, type performances, and achievements of this government, especially President Tinubu, who has executed what previous governments could not achieve,” said Barrister Idris.

“To mention but few, this government was able to give full financial autonomy to the LG council, which majorly will benefit the ordinary and the common Nigerians.”

He continued, “Secondly, the president in his wisdom was able to figure out among the patriotic Nigeria the National Security Adviser NSA Malam Nuhu Ribadu who is working tirelessly to pick the security apparatus to overcome all the sorts of insurgency, banditry and others.”

Barrister Idris called on APC members to recognize and celebrate President Tinubu’s unprecedented performance. He noted, “If we could vividly remember, this financial autonomy has been lingering for a long period of time, since the tenure of President Obasanjo, Late President Yar’adua, President Goodluck Jonathan and President Buhari they could not achieve the implementation of the LG autonomy. Fortunately enough, President Tinubu with the wealth of experience he has, he is bold enough to take this hard decisions against all odds to see that LG have gotten full financial autonomy.”

He concluded by condemning the planned protest and urging support for the current administration. “We therefore, condemning those people who are intending to call for the protest against this government. We in APC have more things to celebrate than to protest. This is basically the reason of this meeting and we are calling on our people all over to please support and pray for this government so that this government will be able to complete what it promise to Nigerians.”

Also at the event Camaa Tv reports that, Comrade Mustapha Atiku Ribadu the State Organizing Secretary of the APC called on the public to guard Nigeria jealously. He said:

“We have seen on social media that some youths want to go on protest next month, and most of the people calling for this protest are not in Nigeria. Some of them are in Australia, some in the the U.S and United Kingdom, and they are calling us to destroy our own country where we live and if we destroy Nigeria where are we going to?” He cautioned.

“Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a president he has done wonderfully well, he is a good listener, you can recall that when the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Betta Edu had some issues he removed her. He also reversed the nomination of a minister from Kano, that is to show you that he is a democrat” he added

The meeting was attended by representatives from the 21 LGAs, 226 Ward chairmen, Youth Leaders, Women Leaders, support groups, and PLwDs. Other notable attendees included former Speaker Rt. Hon. Kabiru Mijinyawa, Hon. Rufai Gombi (Member, Gombi Constituency), Hon. Ismaila Daware (Member Representing Fufore/Gurin), and former ADHA members Hon. Joseph Kadala and Hon. Fenny Fwa, along with state party executives and other stakeholders.
