Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa Visits Ganye, Applaud Council Chair

The jam’iyyan Matan Arewa, a prominent northern women group led by its state President, Mrs Clara Mustapha paid a courtesy visit to the executive chairman of Ganye local government area on Monday.

Jam’iyyar Matan Arewa (JMA) was founded in 1963 as a non-political, inclusive and social organization that brings together women from 19 state of Northern Nigeria, irrespective of religion, tribe, or social standing, with a mission to promote women’s empowerment in the region.

Jam’iyyan Matan Arewa was founded in 1963. The group was established to support women by campaign against gender violence, women empowerment through education, health, justice and social welfare.

The purpose of the visit is to discuss potential partnerships between the group and Ganye council.
