Int’l Women’s Day 2024: Contribute to economic growth – Haj Lami Fintiri
Ahead of the 8th March 2024 commemoration of the international women’s day, the wife of the Adamawa State Governor Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri
has called on women to be more dedicated and contribute meaningfully to socio economic growth of the country.
This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the governor’s wife Mrs Clara Mustapha.
It states that the International Women’s day is a day dedicated to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women worldwide.
This year’s theme is “Investing in women; Accelerate Progress” resonates strongly with the First Lady’s commitment to fostering gender equality, education, and health care for women in Adamawa State.
In honor of the International Women’s Day, Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri’s renewed hope to foster a better society for women especially the vulnerable ones has been rewarding.
The First Lady emphasizes the pivotal role women play in the social, economic and political development of Adamawa State.
Hajiya Lami Umaru Fintiri therefore encouraged the state, especially women to actively participate in this event and join the movement towards a more inclusive and equal society.
The statement adds that Through collaborative efforts, Adamawa State aims to empower women, inspire positive change, and create a brighter future for all.
