Fintiri approves bill to create 83 new districts in Adamawa

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has enacted a law establishing 83 new districts in response to local community requests.

During the signing event, Fintiri expressed optimism that the creation of the new districts would contribute to reducing criminal activities across the state.

He also revealed that the salaries of district heads and their staff will now be covered by local government councils, with periodic adjustments based on prevailing economic conditions.
