Ex-Senator Elisha Abbo Undertakes 31-Day Fast for Divine Direction in Politics

Yola, Adamawa State
Former senator representing Adamawa North, Elisha Abbo, has revealed that he is observing a 31-day period of fasting and prayer as he prepares for his next political step.
According to Abbo, the decision follows lessons learned from his past political journey, particularly his 2020 defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), which he admitted was done without seeking God’s guidance.
“I am no longer moved by sight,” Abbo declared, stressing that this time he is prioritizing divine direction over personal or political calculations. He explained that the spiritual exercise is aimed at ensuring he does not repeat mistakes that may affect his political future.
The former lawmaker, known for his bold and controversial political moves, noted that fasting and prayer have become central to his strategy as he considers the path ahead.
