Adamawa State Electoral Certifies 21 Council Chairs Elect

Following the announcement of the local council election results, the Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) on Monday presented certificates of return to the newly elected 21 Local Government Chairmen.

The results, declared on Sunday, showed the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) securing all 21 chairmanship seats and 225 councillorship seats, with the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) winning one councillorship seat.

During the presentation at the commission’s headquarters in Yola, Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC) Executive Chairman Alh Mohammed Umar urged the chairmen-elect to be exemplary representatives of their constituents. Alh Umar congratulated the elected chairmen on their victory and wished them divine guidance in their leadership roles and a successful tenure in office.

In a vote of thanks on behalf of his colleagues, Ganye local government area Executive Chairman-elect Alh Farouq Mohammed expressed gratitude to ADSIEC for the successful election conduct. He remarked that the fair and credible election demonstrated ADSIEC’s commitment to providing a level playing field for all political parties.
