SUBSTANCE ABUSE: Lami Fintiri, Spearheads Drug Awareness Campaign in Adamawa

The wife of the Adamawa state governor, Hajiya Lami Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, spearheaded a drug awareness campaign campaign through her pet project, Fresh Air Pro_Life Empowerment Foundation, in collaboration with the ministries of Women Affairs and Social Development, Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

The campaign culminated in a road walk that commenced at the Mubi roundabout and concluded at Mahmud Ribadu Square.

Participants included wives of service chiefs, women organizations, school children, parents, and other concerned individuals.

The event, emphasizing the collective efforts needed to combat the scourge of drug abuse and trafficking in our society.

NDLEA State Commandant Femi Agbwaluwa Samson highlighted the detrimental effects of drugs, stating that they destroy the dreams of the younger generation.

He also commended Lami Fintiri for her visionary approach in combating this menace.

Chairman National drug Law Enforcement Agency Buba Marwa represented by Mahmud Isa, emphasized the importance of raising awareness about the dangers of drugs and urged stakeholders to stand united in the fight against drug abuse.
