A group of activists in Osun State on Thursday staged a peaceful protest on the streets of Osogbo, the state capital, decrying the current economic hardship among Nigerians.

Last week Thursday, activists in the state held a peaceful protest over the rising cost of living and vowed to sustain the agitations until the government stem the rising cost of living.

Led by the chairman of Osun Civil Societies Coalition, Mr Waheed Lawal, the protesters who began the march from Freedom Park, Osogbo, moved through MDS road to Olaiya Junction, where they addressed the people.

Armed security men closely followed the protesters as they moved through the streets singing songs to portray the high cost of living.
