Governor Dikko Radda of Katsina State urged residents to be proactive in defending themselves against bandit attacks, emphasizing the need for communities to take action rather than solely relying on the government.

Speaking during an emergency security meeting at the Government House in Katsina, Radda stressed the government’s willingness to support and provide resources for communities willing to protect themselves.

He highlighted the meeting’s purpose of assessing the security situation, as well as addressing issues like poverty and food scarcity in the state.

Radda acknowledged the rising cost of food and the potential for unrest, urging proactive measures to mitigate the situation.

Attendees included security chiefs, paramilitary leaders, traditional rulers, and senior government officials from Katsina and Daura.
