Police recovered Vehicle, Pistol, Cash, others from Robbers of Adamawa Commissioner

The recent apprehension of a gang of armed robbers in Adamawa has brought relief to the state following a spate of criminal activities.

Among their victims was Mohammed Abubakar Sadiq Wali, the commissioner for environment, energy and natural resources development, who was targeted at his residence on Chiroma street in Yola ancient city. The assailants, after inflicting injuries on Wali, made off with his Hilux vehicle and other valuable possessions.

However, a joint effort by police led to the arrest of four suspects: Mustapha Muhammed, Isa Adamu, Salihu Buhari, and Abdullahi Abubakar. The also police recovered Gun Pistol, bullets, keys, cash others.

These individuals, hailing from various locations, were apprehended on February 12, 2024, by police operatives. Remarkably, all stolen items were recovered, and the suspects will face prosecution.

In response to the escalating criminal activities, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri condemned the actions of those inciting violence in the state.

He warned against attempts to disrupt the peace, emphasizing that his administration would take decisive action against perpetrators and their sponsors. Fintiri highlighted the importance of utilizing proper channels for addressing grievances rather than resorting to sabotage and criminality.
