PAWECA Set to Distribute 40,000 Business Support Forms Across Adamawa

The Poverty Alleviation and Wealth Creation Agency (PAWECA) is set to commence the distribution of 40,000 empowerment forms across all 226 political wards in Adamawa State this week.

The initiative as reported by The Gazette News Nigeria, aims to provide financial support to women and youth running small-scale businesses, as part of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s drive to combat poverty and boost grassroots entrepreneurship.

Under the program, aptly named the PAWECA Empowerment Initiative, each approved applicant will receive a direct cash grant of ₦50,000 to enhance their business activities and improve their standard of living.

Confirming the launch in Yola, PAWECA Director General Michael Zira emphasized that the process will be transparent and inclusive.

“This program is about real impact. Through the support of His Excellency, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, we’re delivering ₦50,000 to each beneficiary to strengthen their economic standing and promote local enterprise,” Zira said.

The initiative targets individuals engaged in sectors such as agriculture, tailoring, petty trading, food processing, and other micro-enterprises that form the backbone of Adamawa’s economy.

The empowerment scheme also supports the broader vision of the Fintiri-led administration to foster job creation, self-sufficiency, and sustainable development in communities across the state.

Residents are encouraged to visit their designated ward collection centers starting this week to collect and submit the empowerment forms.
