NSCDC Deploys 1,504 Officers for Adamawa State Council Elections
The Adamawa State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has mobilized 1,504 officers to oversee the upcoming council elections scheduled for Saturday, July 13th.
According to a statement from NSCDC headquarters in Yola, these personnel will ensure the safety of citizens, electoral officials, and election materials across 21 local government areas.
“This deployment is essential for the smooth conduct of this significant electoral event,” said NSCDC’s Deputy Public Relations Officer (DPRO), Nyako Amidu Baba.
The Command has intensified patrols and intelligence gathering efforts to enable proactive responses and urges the public to provide timely and reliable information to address potential threats.
Temporary restrictions on movement and closure of public spaces (markets, motor parks, recreational centers) will be enforced from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 13th, 2024.
NSCDC encourages all citizens to participate responsibly in the electoral process and conduct activities peacefully.
