As Muslims prepare for the spiritual reflection and sacrifice that define Ramadan, Hon. Abdulrazak Namdas, PhD, has once again reached out to families in need through a large-scale distribution of food items across his constituency.

Namdas, who serves as a Governing Board Member representing the North East at the Niger Delta Development Commission, said the initiative reflects his enduring commitment to supporting vulnerable households—especially during significant religious seasons.

According to him, the outreach is not a one-off gesture. For more than a decade, he has sustained similar interventions during Ramadan and other major religious celebrations, ensuring that struggling families are not left behind during moments meant for unity and gratitude.

“Ramadan is a time of sacrifice, reflection, and charity,” he noted, emphasizing that leadership must be rooted in compassion, particularly amid current economic realities. He added that standing in solidarity with the people during challenging times is both a moral and civic responsibility.

The exercise saw hundreds of households receive essential food supplies aimed at easing the burden of fasting families. Community leaders, women’s associations, and youth representatives who observed the distribution described it as timely and impactful, applauding the continued effort to cushion hardship at the grassroots level.
